The role leads defined technical workstreams from discovery through production support, applies sound judgment with limited guidance, and mentors colleagues through peer review and knowledge sharing. Success requires continued growth in technical expertise, organizational influence, and cross-functional leadership as the position assumes broader and more complex responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluate, design, develop, deploy, and support AI, analytics, and automation solutions that improve construction operations, estimating, scheduling, equipment utilization, safety, and reporting.
- Lead technical workstreams from requirements discovery through production release, coordinating solution design, testing, documentation, stakeholder readiness, operational handoff, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Design and manage data pipelines, integrations, models, and reporting components; assess data quality and resolve complex data issues.
- Partner with IT, Solutions Management, Information Management, and construction stakeholders to define business problems, recommend technical approaches, and establish measurable outcomes.
- Provide technical leadership for proofs of concept, pilots, and production AI initiatives, including architecture decisions, risk assessment, troubleshooting, and operational readiness.
- Develop, deploy, and support responsible AI capabilities and workflows across Microsoft Teams and other approved enterprise platforms.
- Establish and maintain technical documentation for systems, data flows, models, integrations, processes, controls, and operating procedures.
- Lead technical enablement, user training, adoption, and change-management activities for new AI and data solutions.
- Apply and help mature standards for security, privacy, data governance, model governance, responsible AI, and production support.
- Monitor solution performance, reliability, cost, and business value; identify issues and recommend enhancements or corrective actions.
- Evaluate emerging AI and construction technologies, communicate recommendations to stakeholders, and contribute to technical roadmaps and standards.
- Provide technical guidance, peer review, and knowledge sharing to colleagues and project teams without direct supervisory responsibility.
